Volunteers required for remote Alcohol Addiction Support Group

We Rise Sober

We Rise Sober are launching an Alcohol Use Disorder Education and support group. The groups are remote so location isn't a major issue as we are expecting members from all across the U.K. 

Volunteer duties:

Supporting those in recovery 

Posting useful content to the groups

Taking part in support group sessions

Organising/attending Sober meet up activities

If you are passionate about helping those with Alcohol Use Disorder, and it's an issue close to your heart - we'd love to talk to you.

What skills do I need?

Good communication skills

Empathetic approach

Some understanding of AUD, it's causes/symptoms.

When do I need to be available?

Details

Volunteers are invited to put as much or as little time in as they like - Due to the remote nature of the groups. We will be running online support groups on Thursday evenings to start. Meet up days will be as and when. Acting as a 1:1 support is at the discretion of the volunteer.
