The Air Ambulance Service

Make a Difference by Volunteering with The Air Ambulance Service

Looking for meaningful volunteering opportunities? At The Air Ambulance Service, volunteers play a vital role in helping us deliver lifesaving care across the UK. Whether you’re supporting our charity shops, events, offices or community work, every hour you give helps keep our service flying.

Volunteering with us is easy, flexible, and inclusive. If you can spare a few hours a week, or a couple of hours occasionally, we’d love you to join one of our retail stores in your local community.

Typical tasks include:

• Helping your fellow volunteers and staff with customer queries

• Preparing donated items for sale, attaching labels and tags to donated items ready for sale

• Keeping the sorting room organised and tidy

• Helping customers on the shop floor & providing good all-round customer service

• Promoting our campaigns and any instore sales to customers

• Working on window and shop displays to make them look their best

Application deadline - Ongoing

Informal chat - After you have applied, the shop manager will contact you to arrange a time to chat about volunteering, which could also include a taster session

Start date - After your chat with the manager and once on-boarding has been completed, we will work with you to agree a start date
