Trustee / Chair of Trustees

Radcliffe on Trent Scout

Radcliffe on Trent Scouts need a volunteer to help run the Trustees

We are a growing Scout Group with the potential to grow much more. We have recently recruited several enthusiastic volunteers to serve as Trustees and have recently appointed a new Group Lead Volunteer to support our Beaver, Cub and Scout sections.

The section leaders have ambitious plans to increase the number of young people that we can support and both they and the trustees have an ambition to refurbish the existing Scout hall, used as a meeting place for young people and other organisations in the community.

We need a volunteer to help organise and direct the energy within the group. The Chair of Trustees is the link between the Trustees and the volunteers delivering the activities to young people and works closely with the Group Lead Volunteer. In addition they manage the meeting schedule and meetings of the Trustees (normally 6 per year).

The role is not full time and can be undertaken out of normal working hours. The role requires some organisational skills and will appeal to a person who enjoys developing the strengths of individuals to deliver a safe, secure and enjoyable environment for young people to develop skills for life through Scouting.

For an informal conversation about the role, becoming a Trustee or a volunteer with us in any other capacity, please contact Steve on [email protected].
