Description
To display a helpful, friendly and courteous attitude to patients, visitors, staff and colleagues promoting the Trust Values and behaviours standards.
To act as a contact and information point, welcoming people into the hospital entrances on a flexible basis.
To provide clear and accurate directional information to help people find their destination.
To escort people on foot or via wheelchair to their destination as appropriate when wheelchairs are available and it is safe to do so within Trust guidelines and policies.
To respond to requests from wards or departments to collect and escort visitors to the appropriate exits when it is safe to do so within Trust guidelines and policies.
To respond to requests from reception areas, wards or departments to collect/deliver parcels/packages as appropriate.
To provide information on all local amenities such as toilets, restaurants, public transport etc.
To provide information, donation advice and hospital charity information leaflets on request. Whilst maintaining appropriate levels of leaflets, newsletter at the Meet and Greet stations.
To record statistics concerning service usage at all Meet and Greet areas as appropriate and when required.
To refer to appropriate member of staff as per the
Trust’s guidelines, if help is required which is outside the remit of this
role.
Must demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and accurately
Must demonstrate the ability to convey information verbally.
