Nottingham Hospitals Charity
We’re looking for enthusiastic and creative individuals with a keen interest in media, communications, or journalism to support our seasonal events and campaigns. This volunteering opportunity is ideal for post-16 students or university students studying media, communications, media production or a related subject.
Volunteers need to be friendly, proactive, confident in engaging with members of the public, and passionate about storytelling through photography, video, and writing.
This role is a fantastic opportunity to help us capture and share the incredible moments from our seasonal events programmes. From our thrilling Dragon Boat Race and daring Abseil Challenge, to capturing the magic of the festive season across Nottingham’s NHS hospitals you’ll help us showcase the impact of fundraising through compelling content.
As a Media and Communications Volunteer, you will be creating inspiring content that helps raise awareness and support for our Charity, highlighting the importance of community fundraising for Nottingham’s hospitals.
You’ll be travelling to a variety of event locations in Nottingham, where you’ll help document the atmosphere and the stories of our supporters, bringing our impact to life.
KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Capture and edit photos and short video clips during charity events
• Assist with creating content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube
• Liaise with event participants and supporters to collect quotes and stories
• Working alongside the charity team to ensure all relevant consent processes are followed
