A Family Hub Community Volunteer supports the Family Hub Community Development Worker and the wider team to promote the Family Hub services and activities (in Family Hubs across Newark & Sherwood including Newark, Clipstone, Rainworth and Ollerton)
Key Responsibilities:
- Attends community networking meetings to promote Family Hub Network and to make new connections with relevant services/organisation
- Attends community groups/organisations to promote the Family Hub Network and engage families in the service
- Attends community groups to build up relationships with a view to providing further support where requested
- Attend local events to promote/engage i.e., community fun days, nursery/school open evenings
- Visit Family Hub groups (Stay & Play etc) to engage with families
- Regularly liaise with Family Hub Community Development Worker to identify targets and plan of action
What skills do I need?
- Good communication skills - feel comfortable talking to parents/carers/partner services
- Be flexible to attend local events/groups
