Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Volunteer Donation Collector for Young Lives vs Cancer (Ollerton, Nottinghamshire)

Young Lives vs Cancer

This September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month, so Young Lives vs Cancer is working extra hard to raise awareness of the practical and emotional support we provide to children and young people (0-25) to help them face whatever Cancer throws at them. With no government funding, the support we provide requires dedicated fundraising to fund the vital services we deliver, including; our specialist Social Workers who support families from the moment the doctor says Cancer and right through their journey; 10 home from homes for families to stay together during treatment; our financial grants to help families cope with the extra costs of Cancer; Bereavement support if the worst should happen and our campaign work to make sure that the voices and experiences of those affected by Cancer are heard.

We are looking for volunteer Bucket / Tin collectors to collect funds in 2 hour slots at Ollerton Tescos on Saturday 27 September 2025 from 9.30am - 5.30pm. All equipment will be provided so all you need is a friendly disposition, a willingness to help and 2 hours of your time to become a part of a vital volunteer team (Team Young Lives) to help us raise the funds we need to be there for more children and young people when they need us the most.

To apply, please follow the link and complete a few short details, then you will have a chat with Lucy Fisher the East Midlands Fundraising Manager and you will be all set https://fundraise.younglivesvscancer.org.uk/event/register/bucket-collection-action-team-register-yout-interest
