Broxtowe Borough Council (Events Team)

Broxtowe Borough Council is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to support their annual programme of events. You will work closely with the Culture and Events team to ensure the smooth set up and running of events. The events programme is varied, with the opportunity to work on all events from Hemlock Happening, family fun days, the Friday18 music programme and Christmas Light Switch Ons.

You could be assisting with:

• Supporting the Culture and Events team with event set up and clear up which can include loading and unloading equipment.

• Information point ambassadors promoting the Broxtowe Events programme as well as providing public advice, guidance and directions relating to the event.

• Support the events team with gathering event feedback for evaluation.

• Support the events team with monitoring visitor numbers on site.

• Assisting with site decoration, including event signage and bunting.

• Supporting health and safety good practice through observations and helping where required.

• Assisting with backstage duties, meet and greet artists, oversee refreshment areas.

• Support event publicity including the distribution of resident letters.

There is opportunity to support our D.H.Lawrence Museum with:

• The annual deep-clean

• Collections care

• Events support

• Outreach

• Exhibition installation

• Guided walks

• Gardening
