1:1 Bereavement Volunteer

What skills do I need?

Essential: Empathetic. Sound understanding of confidentiality. Knowledge of safeguarding. Good communication skills. Good level of record keeping. Experience of working in a team and lone working. Experience of working with people from a variety of backgrounds. Enthusiastic. 2+ years' experience with children.

Desirable: Knowledge of family dynamics and attachment theory. Experience in supporting children through bereavement. Counselling skills certificate.
